Beach Drift

    This piece has a calming effect. You can almost hear distant waves crashing into sand when you stare at it. The background is spray painted. I like using spray paint. It gives you kind of an airy cloud look, and its pigments stay and don't dilute when they run into each other. Over the background I used acrylic, aqua green, black and white. For the aqua green I actually applied it with a brush. A rarity in my case. In fact, it might be the last time I ever used one. A brush doesn't suit my abstract style and I prefer to use different objects to apply paint. For the black and white, I used a pallet knife. Spreading it on in interesting shapes and creating some nice texture. Some people say they look like seagulls flying. That's the great thing about abstract art, you see what you want to see. This is the perfect piece if you're looking for something simple yet elegant to bring a little calm to your house or work place.

   All my paintings are signed on the back, so you can hang them in any orientation you like. They also come with a varnish topcoat to protect them from harmful UV rays and pollutants.

So, if you purchase a painting and within 3 weeks decide it doesn't match your walls, or your space, you can send it back and get a full refund. I do have to note the customer does have to cover the cost of shipping it back to me. But, hopefully together we can find a painting that matches your space.
