Mirror Pond
Mirror Pond is for those of you looking for something less busy but with an array of color. I don't always just throw paint, sometimes I smear it. And this painting was no exception. I used an older canvas, one I had painted over several times, filled it with colors and dragged a straight piece of plastic back and forth across it. On this painting the center area was more textured which did wonders for smearing paint on it. It created all kinds of colors and effects, differentiating it from the rest of the painting. The colors came out wonderful, blending just right together without turning to mud. If you stare at it, it almost looks like a pond and the bottom is a reflection of the top. Hence, the name Mirror Pond. If you have a smaller space, and you want something more sutbtle to compliment your room, and still bring it color, Mirror Pond is an excellent choice.
All my paintings are signed on the back, so you can hang them in any orientation you like. They also come with a varnish topcoat to protect them from harmful UV rays and pollutants.
